We installed a large Sheerline S1 aluminium roof lantern over this extension, bringing far more daylight into the room below.

The owners wanted to open the roof of their extension up to the sky. We installed a large Sheerline S1 roof lantern, an aluminium lantern system with a slim, low-line external profile so more of the roof is glass and less is frame.
Inside the frame, Sheerline Thermlock multi-chamber technology works with 28mm glazing to keep the room insulated, with solar-control glass options to manage heat and glare. This lantern also uses SheerVent automated openers, so the vents open for fresh air and close on their own if it starts to rain.
The lantern is finished in white to sit cleanly against the existing roof and windows. Sheerline aluminium can be powder coated in a wide range of finishes, which you can browse on our colour options page.
