uPVC casement window, Broughton
We replaced a boarded-up dormer window on this Broughton home with a single two-tone Liniar casement, basalt grey outside and white inside.
Installed
The dormer window at the top of the house had been boarded up. We replaced it with a single uPVC casement window on the 70mm Liniar EnergyPlus system, an A+ rated, multi-chambered profile with a co-extruded bubble gasket that seals continuously around the frame against draughts and driving rain.
The system is A+ rated, reaching 0.95 W/m²K with a 36mm triple glazed unit, and locks with a PAS 24 security option, so the room behind it is warmer, quieter and far more secure than the boarded opening it replaced.
The owner chose a two-tone finish: basalt grey (RAL 7012) on the outside to match the other frames on the house, with a white interior so the room stays bright. It is a popular way to get a dark modern frame without darkening the room inside.
