Aluminium windows, Herts and Essex Community Hospital
The Kitwood Unit is the newest part of Herts and Essex Community Hospital. We supplied and fitted the aluminium windows and doors, matched to what was already on the estate.
Completed
The requirement was like for like. A new unit that meets existing hospital buildings has to look like it belongs to them, so the aluminium windows and doors were matched on both colour and profile rather than simply specified to performance.
The bigger constraint was the site. A hospital does not stop, so the works ran to approved RAMS and site specific protocols, phased so patient care, staff access and hospital services carried on around us. That is normal for healthcare work and it is the part that decides the programme.
