What this cookie policy covers

This cookie policy explains how the Fenster Glazing website uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies.

The website is mainly an information and enquiry site. It does not currently offer customer account registration, member-only areas or an email newsletter sign-up.

Strictly necessary cookies and storage

Some cookies or browser storage may be needed for basic website functions, security, spam prevention, form handling, embedded quote tools or remembering your cookie choice.

The cookie panel stores your choice in your browser using local storage under the name fenster_cookie_consent. It records separate analytics and marketing choices for up to 180 days, then the website asks again. This preference storage is strictly necessary because it remembers the privacy choice you requested.

If you use Legend chat, the site uses local storage named fenster_legend_chat_v1 to keep recent chat history available across Fenster pages and browser tabs for up to 24 hours from the latest activity. This assistant storage does not accept optional analytics or marketing cookies and can be cleared using Clear chat. If optional cookies have been accepted, a separate restricted quality-assurance copy of the transcript is retained in the Marketing Dashboard for up to 30 days as described in the Legend AI assistant section.

Optional analytics

Unless you switch analytics off, the site loads Microsoft Clarity and analytics tags managed through Google Tag Manager. Fenster also creates anonymous website visitor and journey references in local storage for up to 90 days. These tools help Fenster understand which pages are useful, how visitors move through the site, and how quote tools and forms perform.

Microsoft and Google may receive technical information such as your device, browser, pages viewed and interactions. Their services may set analytics cookies, including names beginning _cl or _ga, with retention periods set by those providers and the site configuration.

Optional marketing

Unless you switch marketing off, the site loads Google advertising tags through Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel. These tools help Fenster measure whether advertising leads to an enquiry. Advertising click references may be kept in local storage for up to 90 days.

Google and Meta may receive technical information about visits and enquiries and may set advertising cookies, including names beginning _gcl, _fbp or _fbc. Their own privacy information explains how they use information they receive.

Analytics and marketing run unless you turn them off. You can switch both off and still use the website, read pages, call Fenster, email the team or send an enquiry.

Anonymous aggregate statistics

The website may record anonymous aggregate statistics even when optional cookies have been switched off. This helps Fenster understand overall page demand, broad device usage, referrer types, page performance and aggregate quote or enquiry activity.

This statistical measurement is stored only in hourly totals. It does not create a visitor or journey ID, does not build an individual browsing timeline, does not use fingerprinting, and is not used for advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking. It cannot be used to identify you as an individual.

Use the “Opt out of anonymous statistics” control in the footer if you do not want your visits included. The website records that preference using only the minimum storage needed to remember the request.

What Fenster does not use cookies for

Fenster does not currently use website cookies for customer account logins, account dashboards, email newsletter membership, public comments, shopping baskets, checkout accounts or on-site user surveys.

If those website features are added in future, this policy should be updated before they go live.

Changing your choice

You can use Cookie settings in the website footer to reopen the panel and change or withdraw your choice. If you switch an optional category off, the website signals withdrawal to loaded tools, removes known first-party optional cookies and reloads the page without that category.

You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. Browser controls vary, but most browsers let you delete cookies, block cookies for specific sites, or clear local storage.
