What is FENSA?

Your installation, registered by us.

With any eligible installation, you will receive a FENSA certificate. We apply for it on your behalf, and FENSA sends it directly to you once your installation has been registered.

How it works with Fenster

Nothing extra for you to arrange.

Your FENSA certificate confirms that the installation complies with Building Regulations. That means there is no need for your local authority’s Building Control department to inspect and sign off eligible work separately.

If an installer is not part of a Competent Person Scheme such as FENSA, Building Control approval may be required instead. Without the correct certification, you could run into problems when selling because solicitors will often ask for proof that replacement windows and doors comply with Building Regulations.

What else protects your job

Your guarantee has insurance behind it.

Every new Fenster window and door installation receives a 10-year Consumer Protection Association Insurance Backed Guarantee. It can protect our written guarantee if Fenster Glazing were ever to cease trading, subject to the individual policy terms.

The certificate and policy wording confirm the exact cover. Keep your own guarantee documents with your FENSA certificate.
