Integral Blinds
Integral blinds sit sealed between panes of glass, giving clean privacy and light control without loose cords, dusty slats or exposed fabric. We offer magnetic or electric control options for suitable windows, doors and glazed units.
Sealed between glass
The blind is protected inside the glazed unit, keeping the slats away from dust, fingerprints, moisture and everyday damage.
Magnetic or electric control
Magnetic or electric controls can be chosen so the operation matches the room and budget.
Low-maintenance privacy
Integral blinds give adjustable privacy and shade without separate curtains, cords or traditional internal blinds.
Good for doors and busy rooms
They are especially useful in sliding doors, bifolds, kitchens, bathrooms and garden-facing glazing where exposed blinds can get in the way.
Colour and glazing choices
We can help match blind colour, glass type and frame finish so the unit works visually as well as practically.

See it work
Work the blind before you order it.
This is a Notan magnetic blind sealed inside a sealed unit, drawn straight on. Work it the way you would work the real thing, using the two magnets on the frame inside the glass, and pick any of the nine standard colours to see it in the finish you are considering.
Drag the two magnets on the frame inside the glass. The top one tilts the slats. The bottom one raises and lowers the blind.
Nine standard Notan slat colours, plus bespoke RAL to order. White/Anthracite is white on the room side and anthracite outside, so the blind can match the room and the elevation at the same time.

More information on Integral Blinds
Integral blinds are sealed inside the glass unit, so the key choices are cavity size, glass make-up, controls, colour, maximum blind size and warranty cover.
Magnetic control
Electric option
9 standard colours
Glass unit
NTB 24/28 style cavity options with Low-E, toughened and argon-filled glass options
The blind sits sealed between the panes, so the glass unit size and cavity are chosen around the door or window.
Controls
Magnetic manual control or electric remote/battery options
Manual magnetic controls are simple and reliable, while electric controls suit larger sets or easier operation.
Testing
Cycle-tested blind mechanisms, with final warranty depending on control type
Cycle testing and warranty detail matter because the blind mechanism cannot be adjusted like a room-side blind.
Colours
Nine standard slat colours, with bespoke RAL to order
Blind colour is chosen alongside frame colour, glass tone and the room finish so it does not feel like an afterthought.
Specification choices
Choose the glass around the blind.
The slat colours are further down this page. The other choice on a blind unit is the glass itself: clear, or obscured where the room needs privacy even with the blind open.
Colour
Nine slat colours, sealed inside the glass.
This is the blind itself rather than the frame around it. Aluminium slats come in nine standard colours as part of the Notan magnetic system, with bespoke RAL available to order. The frame the unit sits in takes the colour of whichever window or door it is built into, so that decision is made with the product, not here.

White/Anthracite is white on the room side and anthracite outside, so one blind can suit the room and the elevation at the same time. Tilt it one way in the visualiser above to see each face. Compare colours across every material
Product questions
FAQs about Integral Blinds
What are integral blinds?
They are blinds sealed inside a double or triple glazed unit, rather than fitted to the room side of the glass.
Are integral blinds easy to clean?
Yes. Because the blind is sealed between panes, the slats are protected from normal dust and moisture. You clean the glass, not the blind.
Can I choose magnetic or electric blinds?
Yes. We can specify magnetic or electric control options, with suitability confirmed around the unit and project.
Are integral blinds safe for children and pets?
They avoid dangling cords and exposed slats, making them a neat option for family rooms and busy doors.
Can integral blinds be added to existing glass?
Usually they require a new glazed unit made with the blind sealed inside, so we will check sizes and suitability first.
Order process
A clear process from first quote to aftercare.
Four steps. The first one has two ways in: price it yourself online, or have us come out. After that it runs the same either way.
Your price
Price it yourself on the online tool, or book a free consultation and we build the same quote with you. Both run on the same price list, so the figure matches.
Technical survey
Once you go ahead we survey before anything is made. Not a second sales visit: the measurements, thresholds and fixings the factory needs to build it right.
Installation
Fitted by our own installers rather than subcontractors, trained on the systems we sell and working carefully in a house someone lives in. We clear up after ourselves before we leave.
Aftercare
Anything afterwards, you ring us rather than a call centre, and you are talking to the same people who fitted it. We look after our own work rather than passing you on.
What Milton Keynes homeowners say
Real reviews from real installations. Every one is public, so you can go and check them yourself.
Fenster have just completed a front door installation on my new property - fantastic job and strongly recommend! The online design tool is great, Perry back at HQ is brilliant as is his communication. Andy, who installed the door, is a top gent and professional. Will definitely be a returning customer.
Read on GoogleReally happy with the service we received from Fensters Windows. Aaron and Shane turned up on time and were both really friendly. They explained any issues as they went along and talked us through the different options, which we really appreciated. They did a great job fitting our new back doors and cleaned up everything afterwards. We also paid exactly what we had originally been quoted, with no unexpected extra costs. Really pleased with our new doors and would definitely recommend Fensters Windows. Thank you Aaron and Shane!
Read on GoogleWe have used Fensters for years on a variety of glazing work, and 2 door installations. They are competitively priced and responsive. They take great care over measuring and specifying the work, giving you a clear quote so you understand what you are getting (thanks Perry!). The fitters are all extremely competent and personable. We had to replace our front door for accessibility reasons, they gave us confidence that our requirements would be met, reproduced the intricate leaded and stained-glass pattern of our old door, and did a quality fitting job (thanks to Johnnie and Shane!). In summary they are our go-to suppliers for all replacement and repair work.
Read on GoogleI had an excellent experience with Fenster Glazing from start to finish. Nick Perry and David managed the initial quote to installation process seamlessly, keeping communication clear, honest, and completely stress-free. When it came to the actual fitting, Zac and Shane did a fantastic job with the installation, working efficiently and leaving everything spotless. The professionalism from the entire team was top-notch, and the final result looks brilliant. I highly recommend them.
Read on GoogleGreat service from Fenster Glazing, very happy with our new bi-fold door, glass door and windows (with built-in blinds) There was an issue with the wrong spec of glass provided to them from their supplier, so they had to temporarily board up a door and a window, but this was put right within a few weeks. Recommended, thanks.
Read on Google Zak Jessup 12 Jun 2025Cannot recommend higher! Nick and Perry were really helpful in getting my windows sorted ASAP.
Read on Google Norman Cummings 10 Jun 2025The best service ever, great workmen, very high standard and in the finish, excellent eye to detail.
