Price your windows and doors online.
Build the job the way you would order it. Your sizes in millimetres, the way it opens, the colour outside and in, the glass and the handles. It prices from the same list our office quotes from, so the number you see is the number we would charge.
- The tool on the right is live. Start clicking whenever you like
- The same price list our office quotes from
- Your details come before the number, and nothing is ordered
How it works
Six screens, and this is all of them.
There is nothing you need to know in advance and no jargon to get past. These are the actual screens, in the order the tool asks.
-
01Pick what you are pricing.
Composite doors, uPVC and aluminium windows, sash windows, patio and bifold doors, replacement glass and secondary glazing all price here. Choose the one you want a figure for.
-
02Set the sizes.
Width and height in millimetres. Measure the existing frame roughly and you will be close enough for a price. The proper measurements happen at the technical survey, later.
-
03Choose how it opens.
Pick the layout from the grid: which panes open, where the transom sits, which way the hinges go. The render redraws as you choose, so you can see it rather than imagine it.
-
04Pick the colours.
Outside and inside are chosen separately, from the foil range we actually fit. Anthracite outside with white inside is the common one, and this is where you find out whether you like it.
-
05Choose the glass and the handles.
Toughened, laminated, acoustic laminated or triple glazed, plus obscure patterns where you want privacy, then the handle style and finish. Every one of these moves the price.
-
06See the price.
Add another frame if you are doing more than one opening, and they price together. Then you fill in your details and the figure appears.
Before you start
Worth having to hand.
- A rough width and height for each opening, in millimetres.
- Your address and postcode.
- Some idea of the colour you want, outside and in.
- How many openings you are pricing.
A tape measure and five minutes is genuinely enough. Nobody expects survey accuracy from a homeowner on a windowsill.
After you send it
What actually happens next.
- The price appears on screen, and the same quote reaches us.
- We check the specification suits the opening before anything else happens.
- If you go ahead, a technical survey takes the proper measurements before anything is made.
- The price is the price. There is no discount held back for a second visit.
Quote questions
The things people ask before they start.
Do I have to give my details to see the price?
Yes. The tool asks for your name, address, phone and email before it shows the figure, and the quote reaches us at the same time. Nothing is ordered by doing it, and a quote normally holds for 30 days.
Is it a real price or an estimate?
It prices from the same list our office quotes from, so it is the figure we would charge for that specification. What can still change it is the opening itself: access, the state of what is there now, and anything the survey turns up.
Will somebody ring me?
Yes. We check the specification is right for the opening before anything else, because a window priced against the wrong opening helps nobody.
Can I price a whole house?
Yes. Configure one opening, add a frame, and repeat until every window or door is in the list. They price together as one job.
What if my window is not a standard shape?
Price the nearest thing to it and say so in the comments box. Shaped heads, bays and anything structural are better settled at a consultation, where somebody looks at the opening with you.
How is this different from a consultation?
This is you pricing the job yourself in about ten minutes. A consultation is an hour at your property with a window and door expert, who builds the same job on the same software and prices it in front of you. Both are free, and the figure matches.
Rather describe it?
Tell us what you are looking for.
Some jobs are quicker to explain than to configure. Send us the details and we will come back to you, and you can attach drawings, schedules or photographs of the openings if they help.
What Milton Keynes homeowners say
Real reviews from real installations. Every one is public, so you can go and check them yourself.
Fenster have just completed a front door installation on my new property - fantastic job and strongly recommend! The online design tool is great, Perry back at HQ is brilliant as is his communication. Andy, who installed the door, is a top gent and professional. Will definitely be a returning customer.
Read on GoogleReally happy with the service we received from Fensters Windows. Aaron and Shane turned up on time and were both really friendly. They explained any issues as they went along and talked us through the different options, which we really appreciated. They did a great job fitting our new back doors and cleaned up everything afterwards. We also paid exactly what we had originally been quoted, with no unexpected extra costs. Really pleased with our new doors and would definitely recommend Fensters Windows. Thank you Aaron and Shane!
Read on GoogleWe have used Fensters for years on a variety of glazing work, and 2 door installations. They are competitively priced and responsive. They take great care over measuring and specifying the work, giving you a clear quote so you understand what you are getting (thanks Perry!). The fitters are all extremely competent and personable. We had to replace our front door for accessibility reasons, they gave us confidence that our requirements would be met, reproduced the intricate leaded and stained-glass pattern of our old door, and did a quality fitting job (thanks to Johnnie and Shane!). In summary they are our go-to suppliers for all replacement and repair work.
Read on GoogleI had an excellent experience with Fenster Glazing from start to finish. Nick Perry and David managed the initial quote to installation process seamlessly, keeping communication clear, honest, and completely stress-free. When it came to the actual fitting, Zac and Shane did a fantastic job with the installation, working efficiently and leaving everything spotless. The professionalism from the entire team was top-notch, and the final result looks brilliant. I highly recommend them.
Read on GoogleGreat service from Fenster Glazing, very happy with our new bi-fold door, glass door and windows (with built-in blinds) There was an issue with the wrong spec of glass provided to them from their supplier, so they had to temporarily board up a door and a window, but this was put right within a few weeks. Recommended, thanks.
