This website does not currently provide customer account registration, customer dashboards or an email newsletter sign-up. If you contact Fenster, your details are used to deal with your enquiry or project rather than to create a public website account or mailing-list membership.

How Fenster uses your information

Fenster uses enquiry and project information to respond to your request, prepare quotations, arrange surveys, discuss products, manage orders, provide installation or repair services, handle aftercare and keep appropriate business records.

Fenster may also use information to improve the website, understand which pages and services are useful, prevent spam or misuse, and meet legal, tax, insurance or regulatory obligations.

Legend AI assistant

Legend is an optional AI website assistant. By using live chat, you agree that the message you type, recent messages in that chat and relevant content from the page you are viewing are sent through the OpenAI API so Legend can generate a reply. The website requests that OpenAI does not store the response for later retrieval by Fenster, but you should still avoid entering sensitive personal information.

The chat is not an enquiry form and its conversation is not added to Fenster's customer or lead records by the website. Fenster stores the chat transcript and the page where each message was sent in its restricted Marketing Dashboard for quality assurance and to improve Legend. The transcript is retained for up to 30 days and is then deleted. If you accept optional cookies, it is also linked to the anonymous website visitor and journey reference; if you reject them, it remains a chat-only QA record and is not added to website analytics.

Replies are generated automatically, may be inaccurate and are for general guidance only. They do not form a quotation, contract, warranty, professional advice or legally binding commitment. Fenster's written quotations, surveys, order documents and agreed terms take priority.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

The website uses strictly necessary cookies or browser storage for basic functions and to remember your cookie choice. On your first visit a cookie panel appears, and analytics and marketing cookies are already on at that point.

You can accept all optional cookies or customise analytics and marketing separately. Within Customise, you can switch both categories off and use strictly necessary storage only. Analytics can help Fenster understand page views, clicks, scroll behaviour, quote-tool use and form performance. Marketing tools can help measure advertising and enquiries from ads.

Legal reasons for using information

Fenster usually uses enquiry information because it is necessary to respond before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, or because Fenster has a legitimate interest in managing customer enquiries and business records.

Optional analytics and marketing cookies are switched on when you arrive and stay on unless you turn them off. You can turn either category off at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer, and the website then removes the first-party identifiers it created for that category.

How long information is kept

Fenster keeps enquiry, quotation, order, installation and aftercare records only for as long as they are reasonably needed for customer service, accounting, warranty, insurance, legal or business administration purposes.

Uploaded files, drawings and project photos may be kept with the related enquiry or customer record where they are needed to understand the project, quote, installation or aftercare history.

Your rights

Depending on the situation, you may have rights to ask for a copy of your personal information, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, object to certain use, restrict processing, or withdraw consent for optional tracking.

To make a privacy request, contact Fenster with enough information to identify you and the enquiry or project involved. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner if you are unhappy with how your information is handled. The ICO website is ico.org.uk.

Keeping this policy current

This policy may be updated when the website, lead systems, cookie tools, analytics setup or business processes change. The latest version should always be available from the website footer.
