What we replace
What a roofline job actually covers.
Roofline is the run of boards and gutters along the edge of your roof: the fascia the gutter hangs on, the soffit underneath it, and the guttering and downpipes that carry the water away. In uPVC it holds its colour and needs washing rather than painting.
The board carries the gutter
The fascia caps the rafter ends and takes the weight of a full gutter in a downpour, so it is the piece the rest of the roof edge hangs off.
Air reaches the roof space
Moving air keeps the timbers in your loft dry. Over-fascia vents sit above the board and are the usual answer, with vented soffits and circular vents where the detail suits them better.
Water goes where you want it
Gutters come in half round, square, ogee and high capacity, sized to the roof above and set to fall towards the outlet so the downpipe does the rest.
Fifteen finishes to match the house
White, Foiled White and Cream. Black, Dark Grey, Slate Grey, Anthracite Grey, Agate Grey and Chartwell Green. Rosewood, Light Oak, Irish Oak, Wine Red, Royal Blue and Rustic Green. Grey comes smooth to sit with aluminium bifolds, or grained to read like painted timber next to uPVC windows, and the coloured boards are mostly the square profile because that is the one made in every finish.
Washing, not painting
The manufacturer guarantees white profiles for twenty five years and foiled finishes for ten, against discolouration, cracking and warping from the day it is installed.

Product questions
FAQs about Roofline
Does it include the guttering, or just the boards?
Both, and the downpipes with them. Most people say fascias and mean the whole roof edge, so that is how we quote it: the fascia, the soffit under it, the bargeboards up a gable, and the guttering and downpipes that carry the water away.
Will I have to paint them?
No. uPVC holds its colour, so the boards get washed down rather than repainted, and that is the main reason people move off timber.
Can you match the colour to my windows and doors?
Usually. There are fifteen board finishes and six for the guttering, and they are all on this page to look at. Grey comes smooth to sit with aluminium bifolds, or grained to read like painted timber next to uPVC windows.
What guarantee do I get?
The manufacturer guarantees the boards for twenty five years in white and ten in a foiled finish, against discolouration, cracking and warping from the day they go up. The installation is ours, so afterwards you ring us rather than a call centre.
Will I need scaffolding?
Often, yes, though not on a bungalow or anywhere a tower will reach. We look at the access when we quote and tell you what it needs before you decide. The scaffolding is a third party either way, so if you would rather arrange your own that is fine with us. And if it is already up for the windows or the roof, that is the moment to do the roof edge.
Roofline process
A clear process from first quote to aftercare.
Four steps, and it starts with us coming to look. The height and the access decide as much as the boards do, so that is the part we work out first.
Your quote
We come and look at it rather than pricing it blind. You get the figure and what the access needs before you decide anything.
Access
Where the height calls for scaffolding we quote it with the job and tell you up front. It is a third party either way, so if you would rather arrange your own that is fine with us.
Installation
The boards and gutters go up once the access is sorted. It is all worked from outside, so you carry on using the house while it happens.
Aftercare
Anything afterwards, you ring us rather than a call centre.

Fenster have just completed a front door installation on my new property - fantastic job and strongly recommend! The online design tool is great, Perry back at HQ is brilliant as is his communication. Andy, who installed the door, is a top gent and professional. Will definitely be a returning customer.
Read on GoogleReally happy with the service we received from Fensters Windows. Aaron and Shane turned up on time and were both really friendly. They explained any issues as they went along and talked us through the different options, which we really appreciated. They did a great job fitting our new back doors and cleaned up everything afterwards. We also paid exactly what we had originally been quoted, with no unexpected extra costs. Really pleased with our new doors and would definitely recommend Fensters Windows. Thank you Aaron and Shane!
Read on GoogleWe have used Fensters for years on a variety of glazing work, and 2 door installations. They are competitively priced and responsive. They take great care over measuring and specifying the work, giving you a clear quote so you understand what you are getting (thanks Perry!). The fitters are all extremely competent and personable. We had to replace our front door for accessibility reasons, they gave us confidence that our requirements would be met, reproduced the intricate leaded and stained-glass pattern of our old door, and did a quality fitting job (thanks to Johnnie and Shane!). In summary they are our go-to suppliers for all replacement and repair work.
Read on GoogleI had an excellent experience with Fenster Glazing from start to finish. Nick Perry and David managed the initial quote to installation process seamlessly, keeping communication clear, honest, and completely stress-free. When it came to the actual fitting, Zac and Shane did a fantastic job with the installation, working efficiently and leaving everything spotless. The professionalism from the entire team was top-notch, and the final result looks brilliant. I highly recommend them.
Read on GoogleGreat service from Fenster Glazing, very happy with our new bi-fold door, glass door and windows (with built-in blinds) There was an issue with the wrong spec of glass provided to them from their supplier, so they had to temporarily board up a door and a window, but this was put right within a few weeks. Recommended, thanks.
Read on Google Zak Jessup 12 Jun 2025Cannot recommend higher! Nick and Perry were really helpful in getting my windows sorted ASAP.
Read on Google Norman Cummings 10 Jun 2025The best service ever, great workmen, very high standard and in the finish, excellent eye to detail.
