Choosing aluminium bifold doors
Decide how you will use the doors every day.
Panel arrangement
Panel count and folding direction determine where the doors stack. Think about the furniture inside and the usable patio space outside.

Some arrangements include a traffic door for going in and out without folding the whole set. We can show you which layouts allow it.

Buckingham homes, and what to check first.
The homes. Much of Buckingham's centre was rebuilt in brick after the fire of 1725, which gives the town its Georgian core, with Victorian streets and newer estates around it.
What that means. In the centre, windows need to respect the Georgian proportions of the houses. Slim frames, sliding sash and flush styles and heritage colours are the usual choices there.
Check first. The town centre is a conservation area with many listed buildings. Check the status of your house before you choose a style or material.

Buying aluminium bifold doors in Buckingham.
Product choices, pricing and what happens before we fit.
Can I use one bifold panel as an everyday door?
Some panel arrangements include a traffic door that opens independently. The available layouts depend on the opening and panel configuration. Tell us how you use the garden access so we can show you suitable arrangements.
How do I get a price for aluminium bifold doors?
Build your price online using approximate sizes, or book a free consultation and we price the job with you. Both use the same software and price list. Once you decide to go ahead, a technical survey confirms the measurements and fitting details before anything is made.
Do you supply and fit in Buckingham?
Yes. We cover Buckingham and its MK18 postcodes from our Milton Keynes base, and everyone who surveys and fits works for us. Nearby, we also fit aluminium bifold doors in Stony Stratford, Whitehouse and Aylesbury.
Do I need permission to replace doors in Buckingham?
Buckingham is covered by Buckinghamshire Council. Listed buildings need listed building consent for new windows or doors, and in the conservation area a change of style or material may need planning permission. The newer estates are usually permitted development.

Great service from Fenster Glazing, very happy with our new bi-fold door, glass door and windows (with built-in blinds) There was an issue with the wrong spec of glass provided to them from their supplier, so they had to temporarily board up a door and a window, but this was put right within a few weeks. Recommended, thanks.
