Choosing aluminium bifold doors
Decide how you will use the doors every day.
Panel arrangement
Panel count and folding direction determine where the doors stack. Think about the furniture inside and the usable patio space outside.

Some arrangements include a traffic door for going in and out without folding the whole set. We can show you which layouts allow it.

Flitwick homes, and what to check first.
The homes. Flitwick grew from a village into a commuter town around its station on the Midland Main Line, and most of its homes date from the 1960s onwards, from post-war houses to recent estates.
What that means. Most homes here are straight replacements. The big choices are usually the glass, the colour and whether to open up the back with new garden doors.
Check first. On the newer estates, check your deeds for covenants on the front elevation before changing its style or colour.

Buying aluminium bifold doors in Flitwick.
Product choices, pricing and what happens before we fit.
Can I use one bifold panel as an everyday door?
Some panel arrangements include a traffic door that opens independently. The available layouts depend on the opening and panel configuration. Tell us how you use the garden access so we can show you suitable arrangements.
How do I get a price for aluminium bifold doors?
Build your price online using approximate sizes, or book a free consultation and we price the job with you. Both use the same software and price list. Once you decide to go ahead, a technical survey confirms the measurements and fitting details before anything is made.
Do you supply and fit in Flitwick?
Yes. We cover Flitwick and its MK45 postcodes from our Milton Keynes base, and everyone who surveys and fits works for us. Nearby, we also fit aluminium bifold doors in Ampthill, Toddington, Bedford and Woburn Sands.
Do I need permission to replace doors in Flitwick?
Flitwick is covered by Central Bedfordshire Council. Replacing windows and doors like for like is usually permitted development; on newer estates, check your deeds for covenants first.

We have used Fensters for years on a variety of glazing work, and 2 door installations. They are competitively priced and responsive. They take great care over measuring and specifying the work, giving you a clear quote so you understand what you are getting (thanks Perry!). The fitters are all extremely competent and personable. We had to replace our front door for accessibility reasons, they gave us confidence that our requirements would be met, reproduced the intricate leaded and stained-glass pattern of our old door, and did a quality fitting job (thanks to Johnnie and Shane!). In summary they are our go-to suppliers for all replacement and repair work.
