Fixed panes and opening casements have different frame lines. Compare the complete window arrangement rather than a single profile measurement.

Letchworth homes, and what to check first.
The homes. Letchworth was the world's first garden city, begun in 1903. Its Arts and Crafts houses, cottages and later garden city estates give it a character unlike anywhere else nearby.
What that means. Windows and doors are a large part of that character, so replacements need to respect the original proportions, glazing bar patterns and colours of these houses.
Check first. The Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation runs a Scheme of Management across much of the town, and its consent is needed for changes to windows and doors. Apply before you order.

Buying aluminium casement windows in Letchworth.
Product choices, pricing and what happens before we fit.
Can aluminium windows match new aluminium doors?
We can review the frame colour and product systems together so windows and doors form one specification. Physical colour samples help you compare the finish before you order.
How do I get a price for aluminium casement windows?
Build your price online using approximate sizes, or book a free consultation and we price the job with you. Both use the same software and price list. Once you decide to go ahead, a technical survey confirms the measurements and fitting details before anything is made.
Do you supply and fit in Letchworth?
Yes. We cover Letchworth and its SG6 postcodes from our Milton Keynes base, and everyone who surveys and fits works for us. Nearby, we also fit aluminium casement windows in Hitchin, Stevenage and Luton.
Do I need permission to replace windows in Letchworth?
In most of Letchworth, changing windows or doors needs consent from the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, as well as any planning permission from North Hertfordshire District Council. We can provide the product details the application asks for.

Great service from Fenster Glazing, very happy with our new bi-fold door, glass door and windows (with built-in blinds) There was an issue with the wrong spec of glass provided to them from their supplier, so they had to temporarily board up a door and a window, but this was put right within a few weeks. Recommended, thanks.
