Choosing aluminium sliding doors
Choose the view and the clear opening together.
Tracks and panels
A sliding panel moves behind another pane. The number of tracks and moving panels determines how much of the overall width opens.

The handle lifts the moving sash for sliding and lowers it into position when closed. Try the operation with a full-size sample.

Great Linford homes, and what to check first.
The homes. Great Linford keeps a village core, with its manor house, almshouses and church beside the Grand Union Canal, wrapped in the 1970s and 1980s housing of the new city.
What that means. Most of the work here is on the estate houses, where the original frames or their first replacements are now failing: misted units, stiff handles and draughty openers.
Check first. The village core is a conservation area. On the estate streets, check your deeds for any covenant on the front elevation before changing its style.

Buying aluminium sliding doors in Great Linford.
Product choices, pricing and what happens before we fit.
How much of a sliding door opening will be clear?
It depends on the number of panels, the track arrangement and which panels move. Sliding panes overlap when open. We can compare configurations against your approximate opening width before technical survey.
How do I get a price for aluminium sliding doors?
Build your price online using approximate sizes, or book a free consultation and we price the job with you. Both use the same software and price list. Once you decide to go ahead, a technical survey confirms the measurements and fitting details before anything is made.
Do you supply and fit in Great Linford?
Yes. We cover Great Linford and its MK14 postcodes from our Milton Keynes base, and everyone who surveys and fits works for us. Nearby, we also fit aluminium sliding doors in Newport Pagnell, Wolverton and Oldbrook.
Do I need permission to replace doors in Great Linford?
On Great Linford's estate streets, like-for-like replacements are usually permitted development. Around the historic village core, which is a conservation area, check with Milton Keynes City Council before changing the look of windows or doors.

I had an excellent experience with Fenster Glazing from start to finish. Nick Perry and David managed the initial quote to installation process seamlessly, keeping communication clear, honest, and completely stress-free. When it came to the actual fitting, Zac and Shane did a fantastic job with the installation, working efficiently and leaving everything spotless. The professionalism from the entire team was top-notch, and the final result looks brilliant. I highly recommend them.
